Abstract: This paper proposes a novel approach to decentralized energy management utilizing blockchain technology, specifically focusing on the integration of the InterPlanetary File System (IPFS) within smart grid systems. Traditional centralized energy management systems face challenges related to security, scalability, and single points of failure. In contrast, blockchain-based solutions offer a decentralized framework that ensures transparency, immutability, and resilience. By incorporating IPFS, which provides a distributed file system for storing and sharing data in a peer-to-peer network, our approach enhances the efficiency and reliability of smart grids.
