Paper Title: Secure E-Prescription System Using Blockchain Privacy Groups and Permissioned Networks
Conference Name: Korean Institute of Communications and Information Sciences (KICS Summer 2024)
Abstract: Blockchain technology has significantly advanced, serving as a key enabler for secure and transparent digital transactions in various sectors. In healthcare, prescription systems are plagued by errors, fraud, and privacy issues. We introduce a novel e-prescription management system that leverages a private blockchain network, featuring private transactions within privacy groups and enhanced by permissioned network capabilities to restrict data access to authorized users. Performance evaluations using Hyperledger Caliper show that the system efficiently manages to handle 228 transactions per second with a latency of 1.72 seconds, maintaining robust security and scalability even under high load. These findings demonstrate data handling and security enhancements, highlighting the system's capacity to transform healthcare prescription management.
