Paper Title: Blockchain Technology in Protein Folding: Enhancing Data Sharing and Collaboration
Conference Name: ICTC 2024 The 15th International Conference on ICT Convergence
Abstract: The convergence of blockchain technology and biochemistry offers a transformative solution to significant challenges in protein folding research. Traditional methods for data sharing in protein folding research often suffer from issues such as data tampering, slow processing, and lack of transparency, which hinder reproducibility and collaborative efforts. This study explores the potential of blockchain in protein research by reviewing recent advancements in decentralized data management, focusing on its applications for secure and transparent biomedical data sharing. Findings indicate that blockchain frameworks can enhance data integrity, support reproducibility, and facilitate collaboration by providing a decentralized, immutable ledger that ensures data transparency and security. Blockchain technology holds promise for revolutionizing protein folding research. Further research is needed to address challenges such as scalability and interoperability.
